Choose Your Type of Appointment
We offer flexible services available both in-person and online, ensuring you can receive personalized support and guidance wherever it’s most convenient for you.
First Appointment - 60min
The first session is for a full nutrition assessment consistsing of a medical history, current diet and lifestyle choices and goal planning.
In-person consults, will receive an additional Inbody Analysis and discussion of results.
Online clients will be asked to complete a email questionnaire prior to your appointment so we can review your information and provide the most tailored and effective support.
Genetic client’s appointment will consists of a nutition assessment, Inbody analysis and DNA sample collection via finger prick. We offer convenient courier services for package delivery and collection if you’re unable to visit the office in person.
Second Appointment - 60min
Your second appointment will focus on an in-depth discussion of your diet and nutrition goals, either i person or online. Please note that all diets, food lists, menus and Inbody analysis reports will be send via email after your session.
Follow-up sessions will be scheduled once you receive your diet plan to ensure we adjust and support your progress effectively.
For genetic clients, this appointment is for the review and detailed discussion of your genetic report. This will help us tailor a personalized approach based on your unique genetic insights. You’ll receive a full report with diet and lifestyle recommendations.
Support
We offer unlimited WhatsApp support and check-ins for the rist 6 weeks to make sure you are supported.
Payment
We only accept card payments for in-room consultations.
For online consultations we require the full payment via EFT before diet plans are emailed.
For genetic testing, full payment is required via card or EFT before samples are sent to the lab. The practice makes direct payments to the lab through an online portal, which requires payment to be completed before any testing can begin.

I’m Marise

I’m a Clinical Dietitian & Genetic Specialist in Stellenbosch. I have an independant private practice with a wide field of interest, especially linking science (genetics) with nutrition.
I finished my studies at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Pretoria in 2000, and have since been working in the field of Nutrition and Dietetics, both here in South Africa and internationally. I also qualified as a teacher in Natural Science, Physical Science and Catering. I have also added Paediatric Specialist to my qualification while living and working in the United Kingdom for 5 years.
Since returning to South Africa, I was determined to provide something different for my clients…. My fascination with science lead me to shift my focus on how genetics and nutrition work together to prevent disease onset, improve weight management and promote health. I embraced a new challenge and returned to study Nutrigenetics in 2016 and have since implemented this within all areas of my practice.
This shift to preventative medicine, with a more functional nutrition approach to a healthier lifestyle, has proven to be hugely successful and beneficial for my clients in their journey to health.
Driven by my passion for infant nutrition and community service, I enjoy spending a few hours every other morning volunteering at the Maternity ward of Stellenbosch District Hospital. There, I promote breastfeeding and support new mothers with feeding their new-borns.
Since 2024, I’m also co-owner of theSTUDIOinc Stellenbosch- powered by THE TAN LAB – scientifically formulated, innovative self tanning without the sun’s harmful UV rays – currently the only scientific product in SA with 3 different shades.
miDIET consults individuals and corporative clients all over South Africa, with the miDIET practice based in the beautiful Boland town of Stellenbosch.
